Culture Redefined
If you haven’t seen this presentation from Reed Hastings (CEO, Netflix). Please check it out, it’s long, but speaks volumes, and definitely makes you think about your own company culture. Great stuff.

If you’re looking for some great summer business reading, check out Rework, brought to you by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson, the founders of 37 signals.
Brilliant insight communicated in a profoundly simple way. Perfect for entrepreneurs or business managers looking to overhaul a department or put a new spin on going to market. If you’re not familiar with 37 signals’ software product line, you should check them out. We’ve used the Basecamp product extensively at H9 Marketing to aid in project management – and once I learned this Company had written this book, I just had to read it.
In 2008, h9 marketing worked on a promotional project with Professor and Marketing Author, Dr. Neale Martin. Dr. Martin’s book, “Habit: the 95% of Behavior Marketers Ignore” deftly mixes classic consumer behavior with up to date research on neurology and unconscious behavior. Understanding these latest discoveries has huge implications for marketers going forth.
Tomorrow at Kennesaw State University, Dr. Martin is conducting a one-day symposium titled “The Force of Habit: Demystifying Unconscious Consumer Behavior.”
Earlier this year, Marvell Technology Group enlisted h9 marketing for professional copywriting services to help promote Marvell’s participation in the One Laptop Per Child initiative.
OLPC is a non-profit organization with a mission statement of creating educational opportunities for the world’s poorest children by providing each child with a rugged, low-cost, low-power, connected laptop with content and software designed for collaborative, joyful, self-empowered learning.
Been awhile since we blogged here at h9, but that’s all changing. There is simply so much to cover, report on, communicate, and digest in the Advertising & Marketing industry these days. Effective Marketing is more relevant and top of mind than ever, it’s what we believe and what we practice. It makes us happy.
Hat tip to you, Dan Pink – one of our favorite Marketing authors:
